Hewatele is looking to recruit a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) with a commercial focus who will provide strategic direction and leadership to manage the fast-growing business. The CFO will oversee the development and ongoing management of all financial systems across the organisation in order to support the delivery of Hewatele’s objectives.
The Fintech product specialist is responsible for developing and executing the fintech strategy implementation plan. He/she will collaborate with key public and private sector stakeholders to create an environment for the growth of local, regional, and global FinTech's, to thrive in Rwanda. The role requires an experienced business development or product professional who can build relationships with FinTech's, understand their challenges, identify opportunities, structure, and coordinate discussions with key players to support growth of fintech in Rwanda. The fintech product specialist will work with the Rwanda Finance Limited team to develop an implementation plan based on the Rwanda fintech strategy and oversee its implementation.
Reporting line: The position reports to the Chief Investment Officer at Rwanda Finance Limited.
Supervises: The Fintech Legal and Compliance Expert
The Project Accountant will support the Senior Finance Manager in ensuring all UK-PACT financial accounts are accurately maintained and in compliance with the donor guidelines, statutory and company processes.
She/he will also oversee expenditures and reporting under the project both at the organization and consortium level. The project accountant will also provide 40% of her/his time to support Gatsby Africa (GA) Kenya finance related work.
The Learning Facilitator reports to the Program Manager, Africa Strategy in Canada and works closely with the Health Collaborative partners, the U of T Secretariat, U of T program leaders, and other health ecosystem stakeholders.
You will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) processes of programs across the Health Collaborative. The incumbent evaluates programs to identify synergies, best practice, successes, and challenges, supporting the sharing of learning across the collaboration.
Reporting to the Program Manager, Africa Strategy in Canada, the Program Officer works closely with the Africa Health Collaborative Partners, OVPI Africa team, students, and employers in identifying opportunities for experiential learning, internships, and full-time jobs to students and alumni.
You will contribute towards the development and strengthening of an Africa-centric health ecosystem necessary to produce long lasting systems change. You will actively contribute to 3 key pillars: Health Employment, Health Entrepreneurship; and Health Ecosystem.
The roles being recruited will initially work within Gatsby’s Aquaculture Programme. Aquaculture is the fastest growing agri-food sector globally. Gatsby’s East African Aquaculture Programme is entering an exciting expansion phase after some strong initial success.

The Analyst role will form a key role in the Private Sector Investments’ team. This team is responsible for designing and implementing sector-level interventions to unlock new investments at scale in Kenya and Uganda’s commercial forestry sectors, with a focus on wood processing and high-employment downstream industries such as furniture and joinery, and construction. The Analyst will play a key role supporting/ leading the exploration of opportunities in the construction sector. The construction sector is the largest consumer of wood and given the underlying drivers of high population growth and urbanisation in East Africa, presents a huge opportunity to create a market demand pull at scale for sustainable wood, and in turn drive investments across the commercial forestry value chain.
The Analyst will have the opportunity to support the development and implementation of a new strategy to see increased uptake of sustainable timber in the built environment. Responsibilities will range from undertaking analysis to identify high potential growth opportunities, designing surveys and studies, packaging evidence into thought leadership to influence stakeholders, and engaging a broad range of private and public sector actors.
